Walking for Wellbeing: The Mental Health Runner Joins Konectbuses in Clacton
1 month ago

The vibrant coastal town of Clacton recently welcomed a special guest to one of our Chatty Bus events - none other than The Mental Health Runner, a Community Interest Company (CIC) on a heartfelt mission to support mental health through movement and conversation. Their "Walking for Wellbeing" initiative is making waves across Essex, and their recent appearance at our Konectbuses Chatty Bus event highlighted just how powerful a simple walk can be.
A Movement That Moves You
“Walking for Wellbeing” isn’t just a series of strolls - it’s a community-powered effort to promote mental, emotional, and social wellbeing. Held weekly in locations like Castle Park, Highwoods, and Clacton, these walks invite people of all backgrounds and abilities to come together, get active, and most importantly, connect.
With the motto “Walk • Talk • Support”, the initiative embodies the idea that healing can happen in motion. The walks are free, inclusive, and designed to provide a supportive space where participants can open up without pressure - whether they're managing stress, navigating loneliness, or just looking for a friendly face.
